Our editorial approach
How we build the directory
The Embedded Insurance Directory is an editorial directory published by Clark Embedded Advisors. Listings are editorial, not paid placements. Inclusion is not an endorsement, a licensing determination or a recommendation to purchase insurance.
Selection and scope
The directory includes businesses and organizations relevant to embedded insurance: providers, platforms and technology companies, carriers, consultancies and associations. Entries may come from publisher research, existing public company information or listing requests.
Submitting a request does not guarantee inclusion.
What we check and which sources we use
When reviewing an entry, we consider whether the company name, website and description refer to the same business; its stated operating role; the products and platform contexts described; and any geography recorded in the profile. Company websites and official product pages are primary evidence. Where an entry makes a regulatory or licensing claim, the relevant official source should be checked rather than treating a coverage label as proof of authority.
The directory has undergone a plausibility audit of existing descriptions against the business identities and website addresses on file. That audit was not a fresh, comprehensive verification of every company's website or every claim. Older records may remain incomplete or need further review.
What “Last verified” means
“Last verified” is shown only when an editor has recorded a verification date. A linked source is the page recorded for that review. A blank date means no verification date has been recorded; it must not be read as a current verification.
A date and source do not guarantee that every profile field is complete or that a product, license or partnership remains available. Confirm current details with the company and, where relevant, the responsible regulator.
Categories, coverage types and verticals
Categories describe an organization's broad role. Coverage types organize the insurance products described in its record; approved duplicate labels are consolidated. A type label is not independent evidence of underwriting authority or licensing.
Curated vertical pages use reviewed company-to-vertical placements. A matching coverage type alone does not establish a particular software integration, customer relationship or partnership. Companies may retain broader industry tags on their profiles without appearing in every curated vertical.
Status and corrections
Profiles can show active or ceased-operations status. Records identified as mismatched or placed on editorial hold are hidden while they are reviewed. Ceased-operations records are not recommended in featured or similar-provider lists.
Use “Suggest a correction” on a profile or email [email protected] to identify an error. Include the company and a supporting public source where possible. We review corrections before changing a listing; no response or update deadline is promised.
